Organic East is a democratic association of organic farmers, shops and other businesses from across the East of England.

We believe in a food system that goes further than the requirements of organic certification in demonstrating fairness, transparency and comprehensive ecological principles. Our charter ^[1] sets out the principles that our members follow.

Membership of Organic East is by the democratic consent of existing members: prospective members sign up to our charter and are admitted if over 50% of our membership approves their application. Members pay a modest annual fee to cover the costs of administering and maintaining the association and its website.
